adored this so much.

reminded me abit of *some* white feminist women using lobotomy imagery as a sort of symbolic satire for misogyny while completely disregarding how before the lobotomy was used on white people (specifically white women and disabled people) it wad initially tested on thousands of nonwhite people until it wasnt *as* lethal.

wow. really interesting intersection you posed. love

it all intersects at the end of the day, alot of medical malpractice influenced by misogyny was inflicted/tested on nonwhite people first so they wouldnt take the lives of the slightly more “valuable” white people.

This was beautiful! I loved the background you gave on indigenous sex protests as a sort-of overlooked reference point to the 4B movement (Taylor’s version, lol.) Super thought-provoking piece.

yeah i actually learned about that through writing this! it makes sense tho. in many indigenous communities, although men/women/third gender had different roles, those roles were respected. of course levying the power of those roles in protest worked at the time 😂 thanks for reading

thank you thank you THANK YOU for mentioning the transphobia of 4B. there's multiple bones i have to pick with the idea of gender/sex based separatism but that one is the easiest to put into words. i've had to do my own mini version of 4B within the past year (specifically no straight men as opposed to no men) so it feels off for me to throw the whole concept out but this piece put some of my thoughts into words!

right? 4B feminism shouldn't be viewed as a punishment, it's a set of beliefs that you live by. going back to dating ur republican bf after 4 years is like doing a crash diet for lesbianism, like, this is not change that will sustain or change men's treatment of us. if anything, they'll probably get worse. you've got to decide whether you're in or out, i don't want any of this hokey cokey shit lol

This articulated everything I felt watching flippant 4B posts and more. I am tired of social outcry not leading to the creation of real-life community. You excellently wrote, organized, and researched this essay.

Thank you so so much! It’s so important to recognize the faults in a system so it can eventually provide more security in the future. The 4B movement has potential but even in my response to your pole I said I don’t think white people are ready for it. At least not here. Anuhea you continue to keep me in awe. I love you and all you have continued to stand for.

I created an account after reading this article because I wanted to tell you that this was a very well written article. Very personal, you speak from a point of view of both perspectives, and as a reader, I could tell you put a lot of work and thought into this piece. Great work and I will be sharing this article with my fellow members in Anonymous.

I would like to assure you that I am not trolling you. Yes, I am a male, but not all of us think the same and everything you said in this article is exactly what Anonymous stands for. I absolutely loved reading this piece because like I said, I can tell by each paragraph I read, the thought and care you put into your words was absolutely beautiful and sincere. When reading, I could feel your words hold a powerful meaning behind it and as I also stated, you don't just share your opinions from the point of view of someone who is bias and speaking strictly from emotions, but you also make it very clear on multiple occasions the facts and that you understand both perspectives. Yes, there is emotion that feels personal, but it's written in a way that feels genuine and won't be misinterpreted. To write a piece like this where you are completely honest, shows me, "the reader" that you are not just tackling this issue from a state of anger and frustration, but also truth which is why I appreciate and respect everything you said in this article. You have not only shown vulnerability in your words, but you have also shown empathy and in a time where there are so many people that feel the same as you, I feel that this article is necessary and it is everything Anonymous stands for. So, thank you for writing this. It was beautiful and I can't wait to read what you write in the future.

Really sick of both feminist & progressive values just being expressed as a fashion & lifestyle choice. Boycotts, veganism, childrearing practices & some kinds of spirituality can also be like this. And as a disabled white woman I've had to explain that being able choose to have children is also also part of reproductive rights. The first wave feminists were both racist & ableist eugenics supporters. Our sex lives are also denied & erased by comphet patriarchy & purity culture.
